Always dreamed of a Cinderella wedding, where the Prince comes to take his Princess with him?  Well, easier said than done. Sigh! It takes a lot of effort and pre-planning to make your big day worthwhile. You don’t want to find yourself and your nearest and dearest stressing on your big day! It’s a mixed feeling of joy, excitement, fun and we want it to help it be just that! Here’s a guide for your big day, which you can follow prior to the event and manage things making sure you don’t forget anything!

  • Plan Your Budget: Try to be as realistic as you possibly can with this.  You need to know how much you have to spend and then use our very own calculator to split this so you know how much to spend and where to spend it!
  • Make a Guest List: You don’t want to forget any of your close friends in all the hustle bustle. Make a database with sections for contact info and other relevant information.
  • Decide the Date and Venue: Reserve the location for your ceremony and make sure its available for your chosen wedding dates. Think carefully about where you want your big day to be and if your venue fits into your budget. Do you want to be indoors or outdoors? Do you want to be somewhere exotic? Do you want summer breezes or a winter wonderland!?
  • Select Invitations: Choose a chic and suitably themed design for your wedding invitation that you can dispatch to all your close friends and family. Save the dates can be particularly handy if you need to give family and friends (especially those coming from far away) a heads up!
  • Hire the Photographer: Book some trusted professionals that can capture your memories.
  • Catering and your Menu: One of the most important things in a wedding is good food. Make sure you provide a variety that meet all your guests dietary requirements.  Sometimes having a particular type of cuisine ensures a nice continuity through all courses of the meal, but nonetheless, buffets cater to more people’s taste buds!
  • Select and Order the Cake: Taste several cakes and decide on the one. Pay attention to the colour – does it fit in to your colour scheme on the day?  Make sure its a flavour that everyone will enjoy, and of course pick a shape and design that you love because after all it is your special day and everything should be perfect.
  • Book a Florist: Once you have booked your venue and you have an idea of what your colour scheme is for the day, you need to take some time to get a tiny bit up close and personal with a florist!  Flowers add an incredible amount of beauty to wedding decor and when the correct combinations of flowers are picked, they may even be all the decor you need (depending on the surroundings you have chosen).  Regardless, allowing the florist to understand you and and your tastes makes this part of planning your wedding day that much easier.
  • Hire a Hair and Makeup Artist: Finding someone that strikes the perfect balance between making you look and feel exquisite may well prove to be slightly difficult.  Getting your hair and makeup done is indeed quite the treat – but only if done right in a way that makes you feel as good as you look!  Make sure you find the time to do some trials so as to give you the opportunity to find someone that you’re comfortable with before booking them for the actual day.
  • Choose Your Music: Think about whether you want a live band or a DJ and make sure to book someone that you love for your big day.  Make a playlist that you want at your wedding and share it with them so they get to know your taste in music better and can incorporate your favourite songs to your wedding.
  • Find your Wedding Dress: Look for the perfect dress either online or by visiting bridal boutiques.  You’ll know when you see the perfect one – and make sure you don’t settle for anything less! And when you do, be sure to confirm all the fittings and any alterations if needed.
  • Purchase Bridesmaids Gifts and Decide Dresses: Spend enough time on your bridesmaids. Whether they’re related to you or your friends, they must be your nearest and dearest to have made the cut!!! Think of a dress in the perfect colour and the perfect style that you know will suit each and everyone of them.
  • Arrange a Bachelorette Party: Enjoy a night out or a weekend away with your girlfriends, stress free and most of all because YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED which call for a celebration!!
  • Arrange Transportation: Make arrangements for the entry and exit to your venue.  Think of the number of guests you have and their mode of transport. Do everything you can to make sure this goes smoothly for your guests AND for yourself in your brand new gown!
  • Plan a Honeymoon: Make sure your passports are good to go. Then, mutually decide on your dream destination – within budget of course!! Everyone says, the holiday you take as newly weds will be the most romantic yet!
  • Reconfirm Everything.
